Karin Schumacher graduated Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and became an attorney in 2001. Her law review note on Informed Consent was published during Law School.  She has also written articles published in the San Diego Lawyer Magazine and various Senior Newsletters.  She started out in the public interest arena in 2001 and has practiced law and successfully advised, counseled, assisted and advocated for nearly 12,000 clients in Elder Law, Estate Planning, Landlord/Tenant, Mobile Home, Family Law, HOA, Real Estate, Bankruptcy, Small Claims, Social Security, MediCal, Public Benefits, Contract Law, Debt Collection and Judgment Enforcement.  She recently opened Afsar Estate Planning and is primarily focused on Providing Estate Planning Expertly, Efficiently & Affordably.

 

Karin frequently provides FREE lively and engaging presentations on topics about and relating to Estate Planning. Karin has been involved with the Miss America Organization since 2005, as her daughter, Arianna Afsar was both Miss California's Outstanding Teen, Miss San Diego, Miss California and was a top 10 finalist in the Miss America Competition in 2011.  She also originated the role of Eliza in Chicago's Hamilton.  Arianna is now working on the musical "Jeannette" about the first woman elected to Congress 4 years before women had the right to vote in America.
